The Texas Property and Casualty Insurance Guaranty Association covers Texas policyholders and claimants when an insurance company fails.

TPCIGA communicates the status of the claims and policies and pays out monies due as necessary.

Information regarding TPCIGA’s involvement in Texas Select can be found at http://www.tpciga.org/.

Inquiry forms can be downloaded, filled out, submitted, and then reviewed for eligibility for payouts from TPCIGA.

Claims may take years to be paid out, depending on the classification of the claim.

Non-Texas residents should check with their state guaranty fund to see how funds are being paid out.
