  • Base Rate BI – This is the base rate for bodily injury coverage, which pays for costs related to other people’s injuries if you are in an auto accident and are at fault. Note that some states, such as Florida, are considered “no-fault” states; their requirements and laws will be somewhat different.
  • Base Rate PD – This is the base rate for property damage coverage, which pays for damages done to other people’s property resulting from an auto accident where you were at fault.

The base rate isn’t really the lowest auto insurance rate you would pay in Georgia. It’s really the starting point for the insurance company to start building the rate that it will quote to you based on a list of other factors.

First of all when you make a claim they do not send an adjuster out to come look at your vehicle they make you send pictures of what's wrong with your car which is just strange. Anyways, I had to do a claim for a customer with this auto insurance at my shop. The agent I had to work with was EXTREMELY rude and quite frankly being a smartass trying to over talk me when I was explaining about getting parts for the vehicle and him saying we were the ones slacking. What a joke!! He slacked on getting his side of the job done during the entire process. I documented everything that happened and how many phone calls I made and messages and emails I sent out. When I finally was about to close the case after calling over 10 times in one day and sending emails and 4 messages the agent tried to short my company over $1000 and even argued with me about where to send the check for my business. He kept telling me "Well this is the address I have" and I told him 3 different times that it was not the correct address that this one was it. When the customer got involved and called the insurance company, because we told her we were waiting on them to send us the check before we could release her vehicle to her, they had told her they had already sent it when they hadn't! I guess they didn't know me and the customer were communicating the entire time. Not only I, but the customer as well, has caught these agents lying on multiple occasions to each of us. I would personally never use this "insurance" company. The customer I had worked with has dropped it and has found a far better company. The only thing this insurance company can actually assure you is that they will lie and procrastinate and that you're going to have a bad time. What a nightmare for my customer and for myself. I hope I never have to deal with them again. I should provide photos of my documenting but there are more than 5 photos worth of me calling and conversations I have recorded and had wrote down.

This insurance company sucks. Effective day of coverage 10/4 (amount to begin policy $355) on 10/6 I needed road assistance because of a flat tire. I was told I had to find a provider, set everything up, pay for the service and submit the bill for reimbursement. I ended up canceling the policy on 10/12. I was expecting a refund check for about $225 and ended up receiving a check for $91.69. What the heck is that? I called the company and was told...

I recently moved to another city and they charged me over $400 plus another $400 as a premium increase for moving without contacting me about a change and withdrew over $800 from my account without my approval. I paid $ 354.00 as a down payment for an auto insurance policy. I canceled the policy a week later due to the car being returned to the dealership. I was charged cancellation fees of $ 300.00. Assurance America is the worst Auto Insurance company anyone can have. The supervisors are just as worthless as the adjusters. The adjusters ignore you and never call back. They switch your adjusters without notifying you. Operators catch attitudes and hang up and the correct messages are rarely delivered. Absolute garbage.

Sick to think for almost a month you can't even get your car fixed you pay out of pocket for rides gas and users to never get a return call. I called today about a rental or loaner till may car gets fixed and to top it all off they want to cancel my insurance of they do...

I drove through water on May 3rd and filed a claim. It is now May 21st, 2021 and I can't get an answer regarding my claim. They are trying to locate my ex boyfriend to talk to him about the claim. I would not use this company. They don't respond when emailed or called and have no sense of urgency.
