I am not a Safeway customer. I am an individual who was rear-ended by a Safeway customer. The adjuster in Jackson, Ms. denied my claim against Safeway for repairs to my vehicle even though the liability is obvious. The claim was very small in accident terms by they simply did as expected and refused the claim knowing no lawyer would take a case for this small amount.
This is just wrong but right or wrong in not how they operate. I will assure you I will tell everyone I know or even talk to about this wrong and surprise, I am going to enter into a lawsuit against the Safeway client and the Safeway office in Jackson, Ms. I know I will actually loose in this but right is right.

On March 9th, 2013, I was involved in a severe traffic accident caused by a Safeway customer. The claims adjuster at The Chicago office was very rude and non-responsive. She will not return calls or process my claim in a timely manner causing me great financial and emotional stress.
I have hired an attorney and am moving forward with a lawsuit to recover my medical expenses. THIS COMPANY IS BAD NEWS!!

Just like Glynn…not a customer but my son was rear-ended while making a right turn into a gas station. Since I didn’t have collision on his car, my insurance company (a good one) can’t subrogate for me.
A free consult with an attorney suggests I’ll win in small claims court, but since there was no money to be made (by them…no injuries, just totaled car), they said it would be best if I represented myself and kept the whole settlement.
The lawyer also said that Safeway always litigates rather than settles in the hope that you’ll just give up. I, for one, will see this through to the bitter end.

Have been with these people nine years! Never missed a payment ever. No tickets, no accidents. I was hit a week ago and I cannot get anyone from Safeway to call me let alone be nice.
I’ve never experienced such rude horrible customer service or such unkind, uncaring people. By the way, the accident was not my fault. Can’t even get them to call me back though I’ve called numerous times and have never felt less cared about. Will be changing companies ASAP!
Nine years! And the other insurance company treats me better. Will be going to them for insurance needs from here on out.. Do not get this insurance!! Take it from me! They do NOT care about their own customers at all!

I won’t even give them one star!
This company is the worst if you are not their insured and having to deal with them. I did not want to have to pay the deductible through my own insurance and have them surrogate so I filed a claim direct with Safeway County Mutual (never had even heard of them before this…)
They won’t deal direct with service shops or rental cars – they pay you and if it is going to cost more you can send to them and they will review – not a great way to do business! So because the service shop is taking longer to fix than the insurance company says it should take – they won’t agree to pay the extra days of car rental until they can review everything!
So I am OUT the extra money until they review and make a determination if the costs are reimbursable… This is ridiculous… Also because I still owe on my car the check for repair is made out to me and the bank so now I have to go through the hassle of getting the bank to sign off on it as well and they have to have repair order from service shop first.
I feel like I am never going to get all this settled… I’ll stay with my big company insurance who will do everything for me in the case of an accident for the future. I will NEVER recommend this company to anyone!!!

horrible company!! I was rear ended by their client and I can’t get them to return a phone call!!! get an attorney if ever dealing with this company!!!! I was without a car for 3 months!! they are a joke!!!! totaled out my car!!! claims adjusters from Arizona!!!!! horrible customer service!!!!

This company is sorry. My car was stolen and I have full coverage and they don’t wanna pay for any of the damage that was done. I was told I didn’t have the extra coverage that I needed…then what the hell is full coverage for????
I have always paid on time so I am gonna find me a good lawyer and sue this sorry inc company!!!
This company doesn’t care about doing their job I pay for and the adjuster from Safeway decided to try and make a claim without my permission (Tucson AZ). Daniels screwed me over. They have my car and won’t release it (or answer phone calls) to other insurance company to assess the damages .. Inexperienced questionable employees working for Safeway auto!

I cancelled my policy due to the lack of communication. I’m calling day in and day out during business hours and I keep getting a voicemail. I cancelled my policy two weeks ago and they still haven’t refunded my money back.
They are sketchy and refuse to call me back. I’m about to file a fraud report with my bank. I’m tired of this. -10 Stars. Horrible company.

I was rear-ended this month I made claim with Safeway which I shouldn’t of. I never received a phone call. Instead they send me a text message I had to call back so they can make my claim 2 days after. The adjuster Tanya Hernandez is very rude, the inspection man came out Thursday to my house to see damages. My adjuster stated that within 5 days if I didn’t have my car repaired, the check will be mailed out to whomever I’m making my payments. Also, the driver that rear-ended me put in a claim with my insurance. They allowed it. Remember I was rear-ended. What kind of insurance is this? I will not renew with them anymore.
