We know what it’s like to search for auto insurance — there are a million options and the insurance companies start to blur together. It can be difficult to determine which insurance companies sell auto insurance and which don’t. That’s why we build guides that walk you through different types of auto insurance coverage and each company’s offerings.

Today, we’ll be reviewing a popular insurance provider: Anthem Insurance. First, let’s get one thing straight: Anthem does not sell auto insurance. So, no, you can’t buy Anthem car insurance. However, Anthem does sell health insurance, and it is the largest for-profit health care provider within the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association.

In this review, we’ll go over Anthem’s services and company history. We’ll also explain how you can file a claim through Anthem or get a health insurance quote from the company. By the end of our guide, you’ll have all the information you need to know about what parts of a car accident Anthem insurance might cover while still finding car insurance quotes.

Does Anthem sell auto insurance?

You’re not alone, many drivers are asking: Does Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield sell auto insurance? Unfortunately, there is no such thing as Anthem car crash insurance.

So, what does Anthem Blue Cross cover? Even though there’s no Anthem auto insurance, Anthem does sell health insurance plans. The company’s offerings include:

  • Anthem general health insurance
  • Anthem vision insurance
  • Anthem dental insurance
  • Supplemental insurance
  • Travel medical insurance

So, does Anthem Blue Cross cover car accidents?

While there is no Anthem car insurance, the company’s health care policies can compensate you for the medical bills as a result of a car accident. So yes, Anthem does cover injuries in an auto accident. This coverage is not, however, a substitute for auto insurance.
