TD Insurance Agents
TD Insurance uses its own agents to sell its products. The benefit of this to you is that you can call TD Insurance directly and get information about insurance and purchase your policy via phone.
In addition, you can purchase a policy online or you can visit one of the company’s agents directly.
The downside to a company using only its own agents is that when you get a quote it is only from that company.
An independent agent can provide you with quotes from multiple companies as long as they are licensed to sell insurance products from those companies.
TD Insurance Careers
At the time of this posting, TD Insurance had more than 250 positions available with its company in the office around the U.S. and around the world.
The company currently has 75,000 employees.
While TD does provide benefits to its employees, it doesn’t actually list the specifics of the benefits. However, the company does provide:
- employee saving plans
- health benefit plans
- retirement plans
- wellness programs

TD Insurance Claims
TD Insurance offers a 24/7 claims service for its customers. The downside is that the company doesn’t offer any online options for filing or following an insurance claim.
According to TD Insurance, all you need to do is contact your insurance agent as soon after your loss occurs as possible.
Interestingly, TD does not offer any information about what information you will need to file a claim.
Typically for an auto insurance claim, the process is very simple. TD Insurance does have an “A” rating from A.M. Best, which means that it is a fiscally responsible company that is able to pay its policyholders’ claims.
If you need to file a claim, you will probably want to speak with the agent that sold you your insurance policy.
This will ensure that you don’t miss anything in terms of paperwork or information when you file your claim.
TD Insurance Quotes
TD Insurance offers a quote tool on its website. While it does compare rates between more than one company, what it doesn’t tell you is what the names of those companies are until you actually ask for a quote.
For many people, this is an important element because they want to know up front whether or not the comparison is going to be worth their time.
Regardless, you can get a quote from TD without ever speaking to an agent.
This allows you to select the insurance products you want and make a purchase, if you want, without dealing with any sales pressure.
If you want to compare insurance rates, however, and you want to know the companies up front, then you should use our FREE comparison tool to get auto insurance quotes right now!
Review
My fiancé and I were involved in a, not at fault car accident resulting from another driver falling asleep and rear ending us. We both got injured and unable to return to work still after 8 months since the accident.
Our TD insurance adjuster has made our lives miserable and she feels like our enemy as opposed to being our ally. On the phone, our adjuster is rude and offensive. She does not listen and will interrupt us when trying to explain relevant and important facts. She has hung up on us. She refuses to answer our questions when we have her on the phone and hides behind her argument that she only wants to talk with our lawyer.
When our lawyer tries to reach her she doesn’t answer the phone. She is directly involved in delaying our approvals for our required treatments and services and hides behind the maximum amount of time she can wait before legally having to reply. She is causing us extra stress, anxiety, and anger on top of having to deal with work-impeding injuries and no income replacement benefits in over 8 months since the car accident.
I strongly recommend against choosing TD auto insurance if you want to have an ally if you have the misfortune of needing to make a claim.
TD auto insurance does not care about you or your well being. All they seem to care about is keeping their costs low while they hope you give up and stop asking them for what you are entitled to receive.
