Laurier Auto Insurance Company Difficulties
There appears to be a significant amount of litigation against Laurier Indemnity Company. Court cases against the insurance company appear frequently when searching online.
These cases are not limited to one office or area of the country either, but rather seem to be an issue nationwide.
Legal documents filed against the insurance company state many complaints including failure to pay claims, unfair operating practices, and failure to notify customers of changes or cancellation of their policies.
One document was found from late 2008 that states that Laurier Indemnity Company was going out of business and seeking a buyer.
The document also stated that the company was giving customers suitable time to find another insurance company before it officially sought a buyer.
It also stated that if it was unable to find a buyer in a reasonable time frame, actions would be taken to begin to dissolve the company. This information leads one to question whether the company remains in operation.
However, a quick phone call to the above-listed phone number indicates that the company is still in business and may now be connected to another company called The Northern Group, which has the same phone number.
