I was hit head on the vehicle rolled on top of my car rolled off and left. I was left for dead. It was a black big body GMC truck. I have been going back and forth with them about the pay off. I am getting the run around from them. Now, this process of doing absolutely nothing is messing with my credit. The financial company tells me this car that was fully covered will go on my credit report as a charge off which is a hard hit. American Alliance want cut a check to them. I talked with the financial company today and they did what they needed to do September 13, 2023. I speak with the total loss with American Alliance they tell me that they hadn't heard from the financial company which is a lie. The financial company calling me because even they were getting the run around with American Alliance. This Insurance company sucks!!! Never again. I do not recommend them to take out trash.

Horrible company with no ethics

This place is horrible to deal with! On 11/03/2022 one of their insured drivers ran a red light and hit my vehicle. They tell me there driver is only 76% liable and I’m 24% liable. How am I liable for someone running a red light. On top it 6 months since the accident and my car is inoperable and they still haven’t fixed it. They just continue to give me the run around. Is this even legal?

Trash company

This company is the worst ever. They have 90% rude customer service representatives and claims adjusters. They refuse to payout. They have been holding up my claim process way past 45 days which id the State of Illinois law. They need to be investigated by the federal government and shut down. They suck at handling claims after taking payments for years in addition to not replying to email correspondence. [REDACTED]

Not my son's fault - as their driver cut him off and the impact was unavoidable.More than 1.5 months later (after hours wasted emailing, calling, sitting on hold, getting dumped into individuals message systems to have them never call back). Finally we get their resolution proposal. By email. They claim 85% responsibility. Evidently my son could have avoided being cut off.Their estimate is a sham. The car is inoperable. As an example of their nonsense - the car has three flat tires (they resolve to cover one). They use a low estimate for the hourly rate at the shop they propose to make the repairs - literally no shop with qualified workers would accept their rate.in the meantime I have no car. They offer a car rental option - however I would have to front the cost of the rental - I am unwilling to do this as I feel quite confidently they would NOT repay us.This place should not be in business. The people that work here should feel ashamed and seek employment with more reputable organizations - lots of job openings right now.

American Alliance needs to do better

To preface this review because it may be long enough that some don't read it, the money you save with this company is outclassed by the sheer amount of frustration, anger and time you spend trying to even get in contact with anyone at this company let alone get any answers out of this "insurance company". This "company's" behavior is at best negligent and self-serving, and at worst criminal. I filed a claim on my stolen vehicle on 7/15/20 and was informed that there is a 30 day investigation period associated with stolen vehicle claims. This was understandable and a fair period for the investigation, little did I know these periods mean nothing to American Alliance and are not respected by them. That 30 day period went on for over 6 months. According to American Alliance they spoke with me on 7/15/20, 7/16/20, 7/22/20, 7/24/20, 8/13/20, 8/25/20, 8/26/20, 9/14/20, 9/30/20, 10/8/20, 10/9/20, 11/2/20, 11/24/20, 12/6/20, 12/7/20, 12/8/20, 12/9/20, 12/14/20, 12/15/20 & 12/22/20 and they themselves sent updating correspondence on 7/15/20, 7/16/20, 8/27/20, 9/28/20, 9/30/20, 11/24/20, 12/9/20, 12/22/20 & 12/27/20. But according to them they did not receive the information they needed to complete the investigation until 12/7/20. This is what they told the Illinois Department of Insurance, but they left out the key piece of information that all of these calls were to the main office number (847-916-3200) and as many reviews show calling this number is next to useless. While some of the staff at the main office are helpful a number of them are rude and indifferent, if you ask to speak with anyone higher up in the company you are transferred over and a voice mail is left but a call back is never returned. In addition to all of this you are on hold for 20+ minutes consistently when you call the main office, trying to get any information from this company is almost like working a full time job with the amount of time you spend on the phone with them. It is amazing that the company is comfortable warping the truth just to benefit them. Even if I spoke with someone who had knowledge of the claim those 20+ times how did they not receive the information needed over the course of those 20+ calls? I did not start receiving consistent communication from this company until I emailed the Vice President of Claims [REDACTED NAME] on 12/5/20, it was at this point that the person handling the claim [REDACTED NAME] finally reached out to me via email. Any contact with her was through the main office which led to a lot of unanswered calls and voice mails. Now my claim is being finalized on 12/6/20, and the vehicle is actually recovered on 12/9/20 5 months after the original theft a far cry from their 30 day investigation period. Now the company is trying to return a car that was missing for 5 months which was stolen with only 5,000 miles on it but now has over 20,000 miles on it. To his credit [REDACTED NAME] the adjuster is going out of his way to inventory the damages on the vehicle. But it is baffling as to how the company can return a stolen vehicle which was missing for 5 months and has 15,000 more miles than it originally had on it because of their neglect of the claim? I firmly believe that American Alliance dragged out the claim for 5 months so as to give the vehicle more time to be recovered so they would not have to uphold their side of the insurance policy. This company consistently treats it's customers poorly, disregards them and takes full advantage of anything they can to weasel out of upholding their end, it is amazing that this company is still around. I also fully believe that this company took advantage of the global pandemic to dodge customer's calls as well as customers showing up at the main office looking for help because the adjusters and agents are not at the office but it is still staffed. To summarize this review my experience with American Alliance has been so poor that I hesitate to even acknowledge their existence as an "insurance company". In short american alliance will take your money and in return do as little as possible to process your claim in a fair and timely manner and do anything in their power to put you in a position where you lose and they win. Again any money you may save with this company will be spent in your time and peace of mind 10 fold. This company's behavior is at best negligent and at worst criminal

How Are They Still Open

Terrible service. My son's car has been in the shop for 3 months. As of yet, constumer service says claim is currently under review. Rep also informed me claims can be under review for 12 months. Are you kidding me??? After leaving multiple messages over the past 3 months for adjuster and supervisor, no one has returned a call.
