AARP Auto Insurance Program from The Hartford Insurance Rates Breakdown

Senior car insurance rates from AARP through The Hartford can vary based on several factors. One of the major factors that affect auto insurance rates is the likelihood of accidents or AARP auto claims.

Other reasons seniors pay more for car insurance include:

  • Age: As drivers get older, there may be changes in reaction times, vision, or overall physical capabilities that can impact driving ability.
  • Mileage: AARP car insurance plans also consider driving frequency and mileage. For example, seniors who drive more frequently or for longer distances may face higher insurance costs. Fortunately, AARP members can get a low-mileage insurance discount with The Hartford.
  • Vehicle: Another factor influencing the AARP car insurance cost for seniors is the type of vehicle insured. Luxury or high-performance cars typically come with higher insurance premiums due to their expensive repair or replacement costs.
  • Location: Auto insurance rates vary by state and city. For instance, AARP car insurance in Sacramento is likely cheaper than in Los Angeles or San Francisco, so always get quotes from local companies for the most accurate rates.

Getting AARP auto insurance quotes online will often find you better rates, especially when compared to other insurers in your area. Further, when you compare auto insurance quotes, AARP may also offer different discounts based on where you live.

I would highly recommend this insurance agency

I obtained insurance through the AARP Auto Insurance Program just under a year ago. I had one car accident back in October of last year and had quite an easy time submitting my claim. The claims process was handled very quickly and thoroughly and the customer service was outstanding as they were able to answer all the questions I had regarding the process. I would highly recommend this insurance agency.
